Last night, My friend is joking with her that despite graduating from USA, I still believe in my own religion, which is Taoist mixed buddhist.
I recalled back during my study in USA years ago, you can easily find that most of the people are proud of their religion, Christian~!
When I look at Islamic Country, Malay girls are mostly cover with tudung, they’re also proud of becoming a muslim~!
But why for the chinese in Malaysia, they’re proud of becoming free thinker?
Why they would not like to have a god statue in their house?
The young people here sees free thinking as a type of modern, a symbol of their high education.
That’s why my friend says, "Why are you still believing in this after graduating from USA?"
I don’t see if there is any problem of believing with our own religion by having high education.
The biggest pride of becoming a chinese is 3000 years of culture~!
This is unbeatable by English, Malay, Indian, etc.
The longest history of culture is chinese culture~!
Why don’t we feel proud of our own culture?
Does religion really crashes with having high education / high income?
I don't think so, what about you?
